简介:


刘伍明,男,湖南人,1994 年获中国科学院金属所博士学位(导师周本濂院士),并获 1994 年在《科学引文索引》(SCI)收录的杂志上发表论文数全国第 3 名和中国科学院院长奖学金特别奖。1994 年至 1996 年在中国科学院物理所做博士后(合作导师蒲富恪院士)。1996 年至 1998 年在中国科学院理论物理所任副研究员。1998 年至 2000 年在美国 Texas 大学 Austin 分校物理系任 Research Scientist。2000 年至 2002 年在美国 Delaware 大学 Bartol 研究所任 Research Scientist。2002 年至今任中国科学院物理所研究员,博士生导师,中国科学院百人计划获得者,国家杰出青年基金获得者,T05 研究组长,凝聚态与材料计算实验室副主任,物理所学术委员会委员,国家重点基础研究发展计划(亦称973计划)首席科学家,国家重点研发计划 “量子调控与量子信息”重点专项首席科学家。

研究领域为原子分子物理、光物理和凝聚态物理。发展可积模型、量子场论等解析方法和动力学团簇方法等数值方法,研究具有自旋-轨道耦合、非厄米、强关联、无序效应等量子多体系统的基态、激发态、拓扑态的精确解及其奇异性质,例如拓扑超固态、拓扑超流态、拓扑超导态、拓扑绝缘体、Mott 绝缘态、Fermi 液体态、自旋液体态等新物态及其拓扑量子相变等。

1991 年以来,已在《科学引文索引》(SCI)收录的刊物上发表论文 405 篇,其中美国物理学会主办的 Physical Review Letters 15 篇,Physical Review A/B/E 170 篇。英文专著 5 部,综述文章 20 篇。应诺贝尔物理奖获得者 Claude Cohen-Tannoudji 教授邀请,在其主编的《原子分子年鉴》中撰写了第三章。 经国际检索《科学引文索引》(SCI),自 1991 年以来发表的论文被 SCI 正面引用 12,500 次,得到了诺贝尔物理学奖获得者 Eric A. Cornell、Wolfgang Ketterle 教授等人的正面引用并被写入其综述文章中。H 因子 63。已获发明专利 5 项。在国际重要学术会议作大会报告 50 次,其中 2010 年在第 22 届国际原子物理学大会(ICAP,澳大利亚)作大会报告,这是中国科学家第一次在这个国际大会上作报告。曾获得中国人民解放军科技进步奖一等奖,北京市科学技术奖一等奖,江西省科学技术奖一等奖,中国科学院朱李月华优秀教师奖等。

1.1、原子与光系统的拓扑与非厄米效应:自旋-轨道耦合、磁通诱导的拓扑超流、超固及拓扑超固、自旋量子霍尔效应、拓扑量子相变;增益或损耗诱导的非厄米效应、PT 对称的非厄米性质、Majorana 零模。

1.2、激光与原子分子相互作用、超冷原子分子物理、原子分子玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚、费米子凝聚、BEC-BCS 交叉、光晶格中冷原子分子、多体玻色子和费米子系统、原子光学和原子激光理论;

1.3、量子频标、精密测量的原理;高精度的频率、相位和时间脉冲的精密测量和控制,空间和卫星原子钟;基本物理常数的精密测量。

过去的主要工作及获得的成果:


1、 原子分子物理、光物理及量子精密测量

主要是研究光与物质相互作用的基本量子现象以及在量子频标、精密测量中的应用:包括原子与光场相互作用、激光冷却原子分子、超冷原子分子物理、原子分子玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚、费米子凝聚、BEC-BCS 交叉、光晶格中冷原子分子、多体玻色子和费米子系统、物质波、原子光学和原子激光理论;高精度的频率、相位和时间脉冲的精密测量和控制,空间和卫星原子钟;基本物理常数的精密测量。

1.1、发展参数可调的低维量子多体系统的可积模型的一般方法并得到精确解,研究量子多体系统的基态、激发态和拓扑态的性质,预言分数量子涡旋态、超固态并被实验验证,解释玻色—爱因斯坦凝聚干涉现象,发现可调幅和调频的原子激光。预言旋量玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体的分数涡旋态和涡旋晶格态【Phys.Rev.Lett.101,010402 (2008)】,被韩国国立大学 Yong-il Shin 教授实验组证实(Phys.Rev.Lett.115,015301 (2015))。发展反散射方法获得了非线性薛定谔方程的长时间精确解,发现具有相互作用的两个或多个玻色—爱因斯坦凝聚体相互交叠在一起时,将发生干涉现象:干涉条纹不是均匀等间隔的,而是中心条纹宽、两边窄,在某些参数下条纹是弯曲的【Phys.Rev.Lett.84,2294 (2000)】;定量的解释了美国麻省理工学院 W.Ketterle 教授的实验结果(Science 275,637 (1997)),该实验图片作为2001年诺贝尔物理学奖三张图片的第二张。还获得了两个或多个玻色—爱因斯坦凝聚在扩散过程中的能级分布, 以及如何用非弹性光子实验发现能级分布等,迄今被 SCI 他引 300 次。发展 Darboux 方法得到了具有外势的相互作用系数随时间变化的非线性薛定谔方程的精确解,发现在Feshbach 共振条件下外势中原子间相互作用参数随时间变化的的玻色—爱因斯坦凝聚可以产生调幅和调频的原子激光【Phys.Rev.Lett.94,050402 (2005)】。该论文被认为是关于 Feshbach 共振条件下玻色—爱因斯坦凝聚及其稳定性的最早工作之一,引发了新的理论和实验研究,迄今被 SCI 他引 400 次。预言光学微腔阵列中极化光子的逆超流凝聚态【Phys.Rev.Lett.99,183602 (2007)】,等等。论述可积模型方法及应用的 10 篇主要论文已被 SCI 他引 2500 多次。

1.2、发展适用于有限温度和高低能区的量子隧穿的周期瞬子方法,预言光晶格中冷原子在能带间的量子隧穿效应并被实验证实,发现非阿贝尔约瑟夫森效应、光子约瑟夫森效应、人造规范场诱导的原子电子学光伏效应等新的量子输运效应。发展在有限温度、高低能区都适用的计算量子隧穿的周期瞬子方法,使得计算有限温度量子隧穿变为可能,解决了量子力学基本理论中的一个难题。周期瞬子方法填补了热助量子隧穿的计算空白,把隧穿理论推广到有限温度,在原子物理、光学、凝聚态以及高能物理都有重要应用。研究了重力作用下光晶格中冷原子在能带间的量子隧穿效应并被实验证实,以及量子隧穿逃逸率的温度依赖关系和转变温度【Phys.Rev.Lett.88,170408 (2002)】。2008年,意大利佛罗伦萨大学 G. M. Tino 教授从实验上验证了该论文预言的光晶格中冷原子在能带间的量子隧穿效应(Phys. Rev. Lett. 100, 043602 (2008)),证实了周期瞬子的计算结果。该论文是第一个定量的理论计算,引发了新的理论和实验研究,迄今被SCI他引 200 次。研究了微腔极化凝聚体的光子 Josephson 效应【Phys.Rev.Lett.102,023602 (2009)】,双光学势中两个旋量玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体之间的非 Abelian Josephson 效应【Phys. Rev. Lett. 102, 185301 (2009)】等。论述周期瞬子方法及应用的 10 篇主要论文已被 SCI 他引 2000 多次。

1.3、发展量子场论等解析方法和动力学团簇方法等数值方法,研究规范场和光晶格中冷原子的相互作用、维度、晶格结构、组份等参数可调控的量子多体系统的拓扑超流态、Mott 绝缘态、Fermi 液体态等新物态和拓扑量子相变等。发展量子场论等解析方法,研究了由人工规范场模拟的自旋-轨道耦合效应对极化的冷原子费米气体的影响,获得了有限温度相图,分析了自旋极化超流态【Phys. Rev. Lett. 108,080406(2012)】。发展动力学团簇方法,研究光晶格中冷原子的相互作用、维度、晶格结构、组份等参数可调控的量子多体系统的超流态、Mott 绝缘态、Fermi 液体态等新物态和量子相变,特别是长程偶极关联的影响,例如三角 kagome 晶格的 Kondo 金属和亚铁磁绝缘体【Phys. Rev. Lett. 108,246402(2012)】。发展量子蒙特卡洛方法,研究微腔和光晶格中冷原子的相互作用、维度、晶格结构、组份等参数可调控的量子多体系统的新物态和量子相变,例如光学微腔中的里德伯原子的超辐射固态【Phys. Rev. Lett. 110,090402(2013)】。论述新物态和量子相变及应用的 10 篇主要论文已被SCI他引 1500 多次。


2、凝聚态物理:

2.1、半导体材料:

2.1.1、 获得了自旋-轨道耦合及自旋矩产生的半导体材料载流子的输运特性,发现硅烯中钒掺杂导致的稳定的量子反常霍尔效应和其他过渡金属掺杂产生的量子谷霍尔效应,并获得三角 Kagome 晶格中强相互作用导致的无能隙近藤金属相;首次发现类似相对论性电子 “Zitterbewegung” 的空穴快速振荡现象;发展可积模型方法获得具有自旋矩的朗道-栗弗席兹方程精确解,获得了单轴铁磁纳米线中自旋流的孤子解。相关代表性论文被美国德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校牛谦教授和印度加尔各答大学 D. Jana 教授分别在他们的Rep. Prog. Phys. 综述中正面引用,特别提到钒掺杂的硅烯具有强磁矩,并表现出半金属性质,更重要的是具有大的拓扑非平庸能隙,高度肯定了该项工作。

2.1.2、 发现了半导体载流子输运及光电特性,提出了低维半导体光子吸收和载流子传输过程的新物理模型,在实验上通过氮化镓基底发光二极管的温度依赖的光致发光特性,确定了共振激发和非共振激发的适用范围,发现了势垒中漂移出的载流子在内建场的驱动力下对光致发光有贡献,揭示了非共振激发比共振激发更适合研究载流子输运的动力学和评估内部量子效率,并成功制备了一种在535-570 nm波长范围(绿色缺口)内拥有优势波长和黄绿两色特性的 LED 器件,该新结构在更强局域效应下可加倍提高光输出效率。该研究对于未来制造新型的 HBT、IGBT以及其他新型电子器件提供了可能,对其他具有极化特性的半导体材料系(如ZnO基材料)实现整流特性也具有重要参考意义。特殊性能 LED 器件的制备使得InGaN材料具有更长波长的光致发光特性,导致半导体发光二极管具有更丰富多彩和高效率的照明特性,从而在填补“绿色缺口”研究方面取得重大进展。相关代表性论文被纽约州立大学 Paras N. Prasad 教授在 Phys. Rep. 综述中正面引用。

2.1.3、 研究了半导体系统的量子信息应用,发展了各向异性双比特海森堡模型在有环境相互作用下的动态纠缠操控方案,可应用于量子点、电子自旋等半导体器件量子比特的纠缠演化。对于更一般的量子资源理论,证明了从半经典态通过局域保迹信道产生量子关联的充分必要条件,为利用半导体器件生成量子关联、操控量子纠缠提供了理论基础。相关代表性论文被英国皇家学会沃尔夫森研究奖获得者、牛津大学 Vlatko Vedral 教授、美国伊利诺伊大学香槟分校 Eric Chitambar 教授分别在 Rev. Mod. Phys. 综述中正面引用。

2.2、拓扑材料:包括拓扑绝缘体、拓扑超流体、拓扑超导体,​​​​研究了具有无序的石墨片的局域性质和 Kosterlitz-Thouless 量子相变(Phys.Rev.Lett. 102,106401 (2009)),有机敷层纳米粒子稳定性的热力学模型(Phys.Rev.B 70,205419 (2004)),作为碳纳米纤维催化剂的镍的成核和热力学(Phys.Rev.B 72,035453 (2005)),具有拓扑缺陷的石墨片的量子阻塞和环路电流(Phys.Rev.B 78,155413 (2008))。研究了强关联系统及无序系统理论,研究了环形的Josephson 结中涡旋的量子隧穿(Phys.Rev.B 72,014546 (2005))。

2.3、自旋电子材料:包括自旋-轨道耦合和自旋 Hall 效应、自旋电子材料和自旋电子学,主要是研究自旋电子材料和自旋电子学理论,建立了巡游磁体中局域自旋磁矩模型和统一的磁学理论模型(Phys.Rev.Lett.83,207 (1999)),三角 kagome 晶格的 Kondo 金属和亚铁磁绝缘体(Phys. Rev. Lett. 108,246402(2012)),含时磁场驱动下具有双轴各向异性铁磁体的磁化强度非线性动力学(Phys.Rev.B 60,12893 (1999)),易平面铁磁体中的畴壁相互作用(Phys.Rev.B 65,172416 (2002)),含时磁场驱动下自旋链中的非弹性孤子碰撞(Phys.Rev.E 68,036102 (2003)),具有自旋流的铁磁体的磁化强度非线性动力学(Phys.Rev.E 69,066611 (2004)),具有自旋流的铁磁性纳米线的磁化强度非线性动力学(Phys.Rev.B 72,064410 (2005)),条纹结构金属薄膜中自旋极化流诱导的畴壁共振(Phys.Rev.B 72,172411 (2005)),铁磁性纳米线中的自旋极化流(Phys.Rev.E 76, 026605 (2007)),自旋极化磁性薄膜的铁磁共振(Phys.Rev.B 78,054420 (2008)),具有双轴各向异性铁磁体的瞬子(Phys.Rev.B 79,014415 (2009))。主要是研究自旋-轨道耦合和自旋 Hall 效应、凝聚体系的场致局域化,研究了电场作用下 Bloch 电子的非线性动力学,发现精确解具有多频率结构并且随时间振荡,振荡频率由外场决定,并找到了宏观控制局域化与退局域化的条件(Phys.Rev.B 65,033102 (2002)),半导体微腔中激子发射的崩塌和恢复(Phys.Rev.A 70,013803 (2004)),室温下低耗散的量子自旋流(Phys.Rev.B 72,045201 (2005))。

3、量子信息和量子计算

研究以固体材料作为器件的量子信息和量子计算理论,研究了含时磁场驱动下各向异性 XYZ 模型中的量子纠缠控制(Phys.Rev.A 74,052105 (2006)),一般两部分系统纠缠态的演化方程(Phys.Rev.A 79,024303 (2009)),协助和单配性约束的纠缠的限度(Phys.Rev.A 80, 034301 (2009)),协助协助纠缠态的演化方程(Phys.Rev.A 81, 042312 (2010))。

4、统计物理和数学物理

发展 Riemann-Hilbert 方法、反散射方法等可积模型方法,获得一维、二维单个、耦合非线性 Schrodinger 方程和方程组、离散非线性 Schrodinger 方程和方程组、Landau-Lifschitz 方程等可积和近可积系统的精确解、辐射解、长时间解;利用 Bethe Ansatz 方法等,获得双带费米-玻色子模型等可积系统的精确解和热力学【Phys.Rev.E 73,026603 (2006);Phys.Rev.E 74, 036614 (2006)】。

目前的研究课题及展望:

1.   国家重点研发计划 “量子调控与量子信息”重点专项《基于人造规范势与光晶格中超冷原子气体的量子模拟》,利用玻色、费米、玻色-费米混合、里德堡超冷原子等实验平台,研究量子气体在人造规范势与光晶格中的拓扑和多体量子效应,实现 Majorana 费米子、Weyl 费米子、自旋霍尔效应等新奇量子态,产生并调控量子多体纠缠态,为制备高保真、容错性拓扑量子态等应用奠定基础。

2.   国家自然科学基金重点项目《超冷玻色-费米混合量子气体新奇量子态的实验和理论研究》,从实验观测、数值模拟和理论计算对超冷玻色-费米混合量子气体的新奇量子态进行系统性研究:完善现有的超冷玻色-费米混合量子系统的实验平台和数值模拟平台;获得稳定的超冷混合量子气体,探测 Feshbach 共振区间的相变行为;研究混合体系中的少体相互作用,揭示 Efimov 物理;将混合气体装载到光晶格中,控制原子间的相互作用和粒子数比例,研究体系的超固态;探测体系中费米原子的集体激发,研究体系的超对称性。本项目将揭示该系统中的新奇量子现象,研究它们的物理机制,促进对冷原子物理及相关凝聚态系统奇异量子态的深刻理解。  

培养研究生情况:

出站博士后 42 名。在站博士后 5 名。

毕业博士 41 名。在读硕士博士研究生 8 名。

根据考生情况,每年拟招收硕博连读研究生 2-3 名,博士研究生 2-3 名。
